omg...summer is coming to an end way too fast!!!

our September is way busy...

we've been shopping, working, working and more shopping...getting ready for our September shows...

 

this sunday, September 1st is the groves flea at the Irvine great park...you can find our junk in row 2, space 3.

 

then,

next week is the vintage marketplace in fallbrook...from Friday, September 6th through the 8th,

 

then,

the third sunday, September 15th, is the vet's flea in long beach...you can find our junk and treasures in space 948 in the red section...

 

come out and see us!

especially, the vintage marketplace...there are so many amazing vendors with amazing talent...

it's supposed to be a bright, sunny day on sunday!!!

come out to the flea in long beach {veteran's stadium} early...

do some shopping for vintage treasures then hit the beach!!!

dressers, side tables, desks, upholstered chairs...all shabby'd up and vintage!!!

happy happy birthday to our sweet daughter...

twenty nine years ago, on july 2nd...

our sweet daughter, stacey nicole de koning was born...

she has been such a joy and blessing to us...

she loves her family...she is a dedicated and devoted friend, an amazing and protective daughter and a great sister...

she accomplishes anything she sets out to do {with the help of her god}...

she has made us proud with her college degrees and earning herself a great job!

we look forward to seeing what our god has in store for her in the coming days, months and years...

thank you lord for giving her to us...

happy, happy birthday stacey...we love you so very much...

thank you for your prayers...

on friday...our son, shannan had surgery on his wrist...

it's always intense when a person you love is in the hospital and/or having surgery...

he was hit by a car while in a crosswalk in may 2012...

his wrist was broken in the accident...

there were a lot of opinions about surgery, no surgery, yes surgery...and through prayer and lots of talk and thought, we decided to not do surgery when the last doc said it was almost too late to do surgery and there was a fifty percent chance it would not work...

shannan was not happy with that, so he decided against surgery...

through a lot of physical therapy and hard work, he tried to make it work, but he could not...

with pain every day and lack of movement, he decided to go back to the docs and see what they could do...

they removed some bones,

cut some bones,

did some reconstructing and shaving and screwing and voila!

new wrist...

thanks everyone for the prayers and texts...you are awesome...

thanks hope for the company...

thanks martha for shannan's vanilla shake...his fav...

thanks leslie for the amazing and yummy meal saturday night...

thanks stacey for taking care of your brother while we were away on sunday at the flea...

and,

everyone else for the prayers, encouragement and checking on our son...

if you would, please lift him up in prayer during your quiet time...he has a lot of healing to do...weekly x-rays to check the fusing...some physical therapy down the line...

please pray for healing, patience and understanding...

the long beach flea special show is this sunday!!!

the long beach flea only has a special show a few times a year...

it's a show that has a lot of the same vendors selling,

but the bonus is you have vendors there that don't sell there often...

new vendors means new junk!!!

the weather is supposed to be warm,

but there will be some good junkin...

i have a truckload of stuff to share with all of you...

some great upholstered vintage chairs,

a new lot of barnwood spring frames i just made,

vintage artwork,

and,

some new painted pieces for your home or garden...

my baby graduates high school...

it's the last high school graduation for our family...

our son, shannan, graduated last night...

it's a bittersweet moment for both myself and my husband...

we love that he made it through high school...

both of our kids have grown up so very fast, but when it's your youngest, it feels like time seems to go faster...

we look forward to seeing what god has in store for him...he's planning on going to saddleback college and transferring to cal state fullerton...

we are so proud of him and hope and pray for god's love, wisdom and discernment in his life now and always...we hope he is able to bless others as he travels down this new path in his life...
