i'd rather shop than watch football sale on new year's day at country roads!

here's a personal message from sue...the owner of country roads to join us at our annual sale...

"It's time for our biggest and best sale ever! The "I'd Rather Shop Than Watch Football Sale" is finally here! And you are personally invited to join us on Thursday, January 1st, 2009 between the hours of 10am - 4pm. That means you only have six hours to shop for the best stuff. And better yet, "almost" (please note I said "almost") everything is on sale or marked down. It's been a really long year, so why not just make a few hours for ourselves to "SHOP"!
Also, if you bring in a gently used purse filled with goodies (personal hygiene items, hankies, etc) you will received an entry blank to fill out and have a chance to win an awesome gift basket put together by our dealers for you, because "you" know the meaning of "giving back". The purses are collected for "My Sister Joanie's Purse Project", which is sponsored by the Orange YWCA. The purses go to women in shelters throughout Orange County.
I personally look forward to starting off my new year by having the opportunity for our customers to get some great bargins at your favorite store. On January 2nd, 2009 we begin our 17th year of business. And without your patronage, it wouldn't have been possible. Thank you! Here's to a wonderful 2009!

we all went to fashion island over thanksgiving weekend...it's always so christmassy there and it was a gorgeous day...the sun was shining and i could smell the fresh ocean air...

more stuff at country roads!

wow! things are selling good at country roads and i'm so thankful...i was there the other day and found that i had more space to add some new items...thanks to my husband for spending the day with me and helping me bring in the "stuff"...

be thankful for what the lord has blessed us with...

it's thanksgiving...a time to be thankful for all the blessings the lord has blessed us with...i pray that all of you are blessed abundantly by the Lord this year...

My Booth at Country Roads...

well, i worked for a little over three hours in my booth today {after the flea market yesterday} and it's packed full of treasures...i pushed and moved and moved and pushed until i got it all in...i did it! check out the fabulous beachy rattan side tables...they are great! enjoy...

It Was A Smoky and Ashy Day at Vets Flea Market!

wow! i was praying for no wind on the day steve and i were going to sell at vets {yesterday} we got little wind...thank you lord...but i should have also prayed for an ocean breeze which would have detoured the smoke and ash that came from the orange county fires...at times it was dark, grey and very ashy which made for a smaller crowd at the flea market which was a bummer! but those die hard treasure shoppers were out with their scarves and masks looking for "stuff". we did okay, but we have lots of treasures left...see something you like, send me an email...
