Summer Fun!

the summer is quickly coming to an end...what a sad, sad time! i love the summer and i adore the beach! my family and i are going to be getting in some serious beach days this week and part of next before school starts...

Rodeo Fun

there's nothing like a rodeo...food, drink and watching those cowboys riding their horses and bunking those broncos...we had the pleasure of being invited to the rodeo by some friends with vip tickets...thanks kelly and tom! we had a lot of fun and my son and his friends had a blast!

vintage soul sisters...

wow, what a day!
la maison rustique blog-her party was a success and a lot of fun!
we met a lot of new vintage soul sisters, sold some of our treasures and bought some more treasures. it was a long and exhausting day...we were all hustling and bustling around getting our booths set up and then once that was done, we were all rushing around taking pictures of all the fabulous booths, treasures, junk and it was all very overwhelming for a gal who loves vintage "stuff" as much as i do!
what a fun day...thanks goes to linda...the proprietor of this great event...for opening her home and being such a gracious host to all us sellers and all the buyers!
it was hot and i'm still sooooo very tired! check out the pics...everyone's stuff was fabulous and it was a pleasure to meet all of you!

Dear Lord,
I thank You for this day, I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning.
I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God.
You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me.
Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you.
I ask now for Your forgiveness.
Please keep me safe from all danger and harm.
Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude.
Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.
Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things.
Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over.

la maison rustique blog her party this weekend!

hey gals...christi and i will be at the "la maison rustique blog her party" on saturday, august 16th from 9:30 a.m. till 7:00 p.m.! look for our fabulous tent...
i usually sell at the barn the whole weekend, but with the gas prices and travel time, i opted to only join those fabulous barn ladies for saturday. sooooo, come out for some fabulous "stuff" and a good time...linda's home is beautiful...the drive is lovely and the wine country is fabulous...can't wait to see you all there...
39195 avenida antonovich, temecula, ca 92591. if you can't make it on saturday{you'll be sorry if you miss this day} you can also go on friday from 9:30 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. and/or on sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.! there will be some great stuff there ~ all the ladies have been preparing for months for this day!

pray for our country...

our family attends saddleback church and our pastor, rick warren and our church have the honor of hosting a question/answer session with both of our presidential candidates on saturday, august 16th...he has asked for prayer...please pray for him and our country!

while we were in waikiki shopping at all the fancy shops, we went into the juicy store and found the best chair ever...it's is so darn cute i just had to take a picture and just had to share it cause everyone else thinks i'm crazy but my vintage soul sisters...

our new fav...

i think our family found a new favorite thing to do...paddle boarding! during our vacation, we rented a paddle board and the boys had a great time! i tried it, but was a little skechy but would love to try it again {stacey's going to bring a couple home from work}. it's fun, your out on the ocean, but it's mellow...a great new-found favorite!

oh my gosh...this is one of the best times i've had at a antique show/flea market ever! it's called the "hawaii all-collectors show" and it's located in oahu, hawaii...my family and i were blessed to be travelling on oahu while the show was going on and i met some lovely ladies that live on oahu and they have some fabulous stuff...i bought all my stuff from them! my husband and son found a guy who sells great baseball cards...WE HAD A GREAT TIME! i went through twice cause i did not want to leave and i was afraid i missed something. check out their website for future shows...www.ukulele.com...and maybe you will be lucky enough to be on their lovely island when they are having a show!

i recently was at an antique mall {my new fav} and came across a bowl of fabulous vintage photos of women...the dealer labeled it "vintage soul sisters" and i just loved it...that's what we all are! VINTAGE SOUL SISTERS!

thanks to all of you that encouraged me to blog...i finally stepped out in faith and did it! i'm still nervous about the whole computer thing and i'm starting to loose sleep over my website not being up and running, but i'm hoping it will be finished by the end of this month! i'm looking forward to the fun of the blog world!

check out all our great stuff from the flea market on sunday! wow! we did great! it was super busy in the morning {thanks to my husband for staying with me until christi got back!} thanks to all our customers for coming to see our treasures we found month after month...we have a show coming up on august 16th at "la maison rustique" out in temecula wine country...it's a blog party show...it's supposed to be fabulous! christi and i will be there and so will a bunch of other sellers...i've even heard that people are travelling from out of state to come and buy...wow! hope you can make it for the fun!
