featured seller...

i was just picked to be the featured seller  for september at the long beach flea...

i'm not one that likes a lot of attention...i kinda like sitting just under the radar, but i'm a little excited to see what they are going to write about me and my junkin...

my sweet husband...

we had a family day on sunday...

went to church and listened to a brilliant message,

then off to the beach...

i snapped this pic of my steve watching the surf...

it was hot, hot, hot at the long beach flea...hotter than i can ever remember...

but the vintage lovers came out and shopped, shopped, shopped...

i made these lil bottle corkers out of very cool vintage tropheys i picked up at an estate sale...CHEERS!

this vintage dolly did not sell, so we took it apart and made it a table top, attached it to a vintage table base and voila!  i'm selling the vintage casters...i have four large, metal casters available...$15 each...

 

 

 

 

i fell in love with this lil vintage table...it had a lot of character...it sold right before we packed it up...

little getaway with the family...

we escaped to san clemente beach for a few days...it was hot, humid and the ants took over the trailer the last few days, but all and all, it was a good time...we had a lot of beach time, some good food and i loved running the trail...

after my run, i spent most of my day on the beach, alone...reading...the boys were in the water and steve was off at work...

 

i saw these three beautiful words carved in the wall of the trail on the way down to the beach...

it was our 31st anniversary yesterday and my sweet friend debbie remembered and gave us this bottle of wine to enjoy on our special day...

it was a good day at the groves...

this lil guy was a very cool find...i found it in laguna beach and it definately was the hit of the day!

this beauty is an old ship's spotlight that someone converted it to a desk lamp...ready to plug in and illuminate your home...i checked out the value on ebay for this exact spotlight and it was going for over eleven hundred dollars...yikes!

this super cool vintage kitchen cupboard was painted up with chalk paint and vintage door knobs, and can be used anywhere in your home...

really cool vintage trophey's turned into corks for your favorite wine or champagne...

summer...

anyone that knows me, knows that i adhore summer!!!

it's the best time of the year...

time for bbq's, vacation, beach time, paddleboarding, junking, more beach time...

i've been away from blogging for a while simply cause i've either been transporting my son to the beach or to his very first job...or, working in the garage...

i'm coming to the quick realization that summer is coming to an end, as i just received the registration info for my son's senior year of high school...then it hit me...the bit of excitement and sadness that comes with having your youngest child go into his senior year of high school...

although i'm very excited for him and excited to see what god has in store for his soon to be adult life, i'm sad that my baby is no longer a baby...

he's getting his license next week...

and, although i'm hanging on to the edge with my fingernails, i know i have to let go and trust that god has a firm grip on him and everything will be okay...

we just got back from a lil getaway with the family...we went to palm springs and we are blessed to have had our daughter join us and we had a great time...just sitting by the pool...a lil junking, massage, eating, reading, resting and spending time with each other...those are the times i cherish...i wish i had more of them, but as i get older i know that the lil amounts of time we have with our family and friends that we really love and adhore, we need to appreciate every lil second...

we have not done all we set out to do this summer, and i get anxious about that, but i have to stand back, breathe and be okay with whatever happens cause i know god is in control of my life...
