the long beach flea special show is this sunday!!!

the long beach flea only has a special show a few times a year...

it's a show that has a lot of the same vendors selling,

but the bonus is you have vendors there that don't sell there often...

new vendors means new junk!!!

the weather is supposed to be warm,

but there will be some good junkin...

i have a truckload of stuff to share with all of you...

some great upholstered vintage chairs,

a new lot of barnwood spring frames i just made,

vintage artwork,

and,

some new painted pieces for your home or garden...

my baby graduates high school...

it's the last high school graduation for our family...

our son, shannan, graduated last night...

it's a bittersweet moment for both myself and my husband...

we love that he made it through high school...

both of our kids have grown up so very fast, but when it's your youngest, it feels like time seems to go faster...

we look forward to seeing what god has in store for him...he's planning on going to saddleback college and transferring to cal state fullerton...

we are so proud of him and hope and pray for god's love, wisdom and discernment in his life now and always...we hope he is able to bless others as he travels down this new path in his life...

father's day and the vet's flea...what a better way to spend the day!!!

 it's father's day and there are plenty of mantiques at the vet's flea in long beach...

i'll be there in the red section, space 948...

come see me...i have a truckload of junk and treasures for you...

it supposed to be about 70 degrees...bring your flea market cart, your dad or husband and have some fun shopping!!!

shannan...

our son, shannan, has grown up so very fast...

he is 18 and ready to graduate high school and start a new journey in his life...

college at saddleback...studying kinesiology and transferring to cal state fullerton...

he has big plans and god willing, his dreams will come true...

he's had a lot of trials during his high school career...

he started out freshman year very excited to be a part of the football team...when entering his sophomore year he tore his acl on the field during a play...after surgery, he decided not to play football because he found his love for lacrosse...

he played lacrosse his sophomore and junior year and in may of 2012, while crossing the street on his skateboard {in a crosswalk} he got hit by a car and broke his wrist in the fall...through many hours of physical therapy and practice, he tried to hit the lacrosse field once again in his senior year, but found that his wrist could not handle it...

he was super bummed and still is, but through all these trials he is pushing on and move on...

next week, he will be graduating, and we celebrate that!

he has decided to have surgery on his wrist the week after graduation and we are praying that the outcome is good...we are praying for god's hand in his life now and always...

we love you so very much shannan...

seek god in all you do...

a walk on the beach...

after a hard couple of weeks and an exhausting weekend of working at the vintage marketplace and the groves flea...

my husband took me to dinner and then a walk on the beach...

the time we had to together was much needed...

the food was great!!!

and, the walk was a blessing...

i think some of god's best work was done at the beach!!!!

vintage marketplace...

it was another awesome show at the vintage marketplace...

set up early friday morning...the weather was hot, but not too extreme...

a lot of customers came...the line was out to the street!!!

saturday was hotter, but a good day...

the vendors went over and above...all the booths look exceptional!!!

a huge thank you to cristie and rita for all their hard work...

and a special thanks to rita's husband, dean for going over and above to help us...

then i was off to the groves flea in irvine on sunday...

a good day there too!!!

the weather cooled down...sold a lot of treasures!!!

i'm exhausted...

replenishing junk and treasures for the vet's flea in long beach in two weeks!!!

busy, busy june...

 

this was the 5 south saturday morning...we got stuck on the freeway for about an hour...there was an accident that stopped the traffic...we were late to the show, but thanks to dean, he opened up my booth, set it up and had me ready to go when we got there about a half hour late...thanks dean!!!

happy birthday momma...i love you so very much!

sadly,

almost three years ago, my momma left this earth to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ in Heaven...

although, i'm so very happy that she went home to her lord and does not suffer anymore, 

i miss her every day...

i love her very much...

today would have been her birthday...

happy, happy birthday momma...

i love you...

i miss you...

and,

i look forward to seeing you, dad and sean in heaven one day...
