floral park...

rose, christilynn and i were kinda excited about participating for the third year at the floral park antique and vintage show last weekend, but wow!  what a disappointment...not necessarily about the sales, although they were poor, but the conduct of the people...most of which live in that community...when we were packing up!  it was a real bummer while loading our vehicles at the end of a very long day, that some of the vendors were yelling and being mean to other vendors that were just trying their best to be out of the way and packing up their wares...what sucks even more is that a man, a resident of floral park, decided to barge through and hit my mirror and break it!  thanks to rose, a dear friend of mine that litteraly got in front of his car and stopped him because she saw that he broke it!  now, that's a great friend!  i got his info and his wife assured me that they were nice and would "do the right thing" but when my sweet husband called them today, after getting an estimate, they back  peddled big time!  i'm so over people smoozing to your face and walking away and being a kook!!!

i, for sure, will not participate in that show again!!!

spring break with the boys...

spring break was a little hectic, we've had an abundance of breaking down of the cars in our family...

so between switching off cars, we were able to spend some hours at the beach...

that's all we could afford after my van breaking twice, buying the bug and steve's car breaking...yikes!  lots of $$$$

and, then today i got two new tires and an alignment on the van today and another major part was found broken...off to mikes it goes again!!!

back to spring break...

the weather was great and i got to drive my bug!!!  yeah!!!

it was fun watching the teenagers in my life laughing at the car...the loudness, the windows shaking and the non-luxury status...but, it never fails...i always run into someone my age, or around my age that has some kind of great memory with the volkswagon...convertible or not!

i love it and can't wait for the warmer weather...

our teenagers truly don't appreciate the funness of the bug!

my 50th birthday party...

wow!

steve pulled it all together and it was a great party!

a house full of 50 of my favorite family and friends...what a special day!

i was dreading the big 50, but it all gets better when you are blessed with such great people in your life...

vet's flea market this weekend...

this weekend is supposed to be cool, but good...it's the calm before the storm!

sunday is a perfect day to go shopping at one of the best flea markets in town, because its supposed to rain for several days next week...NOT AGAIN!!!

hopefully, this will be the last rain of the season...i'm so ready for spring and summer to come and stay!

you won't want to miss our booth this sunday...it's going to be three whole booths of great treasures...christilynn, rose and i will be all together...what a combo!

we all have some great stuff and i have a ton of smalls, some great dressers and chandiliers...

then, next weekend...floral park...

then, the following weekend is ivc flea market...yikes!  i'm going to be tired!!!

happy birthday to me...

well, it's  the big 50 and i've been dreading this one for a very long time, but my sweet husband is trying very hard to make it painless!

he bought me my dream car...a 1978 volkswagen convertible bug, and it's super fun!

we took it to the beach yesterday and it's so much better travelling around with your top down!!!

and,

he's throwing me a big birthday bash on saturday with all of my favorite people in my life...

i'm so blessed to have steve as my husband!

easter sale at country roads this weekend...

great news!

country roads is having an easter sale...it's the "I'd Rather Shop Than Hunt Easter Eggs Sale"!  it's only six hours...from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, so you may want to shop early so you don't miss out on the good stuff.

christilynn and i are having 15% off in our booth, but most of the dealers are having sales as well...

it's going to be good!

sue is a huge giver to charities that need our help...if you bring a diaper bag filled with "stuff" for babies that will be given to women that are staying in shelters you will be given an entry to possibly win a $100 shopping spree at country roads...it has to be a "diaper bag filled with baby stuff", not a plastic bag, etc.  country roads will give you one entry blank for each diaper bag you donate.  we are all so blessed to live in orange county....what an awesome way to give back!  especially on easter!

vets on sunday...

have you ever set up a booth and just loved the way it came out...

well, that was us on sunday at vets...christi and i did not know what each other were bringing, but all of it just worked...

our center was actually what we called "our trailer"...it was great!

and, i wanted to share it...

we both sold a lot of treasures, but if you see something...let me know and we can either make arrangements for you to pick it up or we can mail it to you...

we are taking easter off to worship our lord and savior, but we will be back to vets in april and then rose, christi and i will be at floral park...
