the girls and i were selling at the ivc flea market this sunday and it was an odd day...the weather was kinda gloomy, there were a ton of people out looking and shopping, the parking lots were full, but not really buying {i guess it's a sign of the times/economy}, which i'm kinda gettin sick of hearing, but it's reality...
but, i do want to say, that it's hard for all of us out there trying to sell our treasures when people come by and are harsh and rude...offering us way less than we have on the price tags...and, when we say no to their offensive price, they look at us like we're crazy!
i have to say, christilynn, janice and i are very fair on our price tags and we almost always, always, always give better deals...
we flea marketers work very hard...we search for the great stuff in we put in our booth every month, we paint and fix the items up and lug them out to the flea market at the wee hours of the morning...some of us get there at 2:30 a.m.
i'm all about the deal, but i try hard not to offend the hard working flea marketers...
we do it for the love of the flea market and selling our treasures, but we also do it to make a little profit for the hard work we do...
enough said on that issue...
i hope you enjoy the pictures of our booth...we love what we do and just want to share...
if you find something you can't live without...contact me...
have a blessed day...
xoxo

Hi Robin! I'm convinced that when people make stupid offers, they don't really want to buy! Another one I hate: when they say in the store "I give you $150.00 CASH (like we've never seeing cash before...) for that $220.00 set...Cash! Right now!!!"...stick your cash in your ear, sir....
That's a deal breaker for me, don't mention the CASH part and I might think about it!!! We had an OK day at Irvine, but can't compare to another day/market because it was our first time ever. The good thing is that what we didn't sell was new merchandise that had not been in the store before. Anyway, don't get discouraged, things will get better ( I can't promise how long it's going to take, though...!) Hugs to everyone there,
Marcela
I love the dress stand in the 3rd picture down! It is great...but I can't think how much shipping would be to Texas. If I was close I would snatch it up. About your customers: I guess I am just not aggressive enough to walk up and ask that they take a dollar amount. I just ask if that is their best price and make my decision based on that. We do get some crazy calls from the Antique Mall asking for wild prices...but I just get to say no to the employee at the mall, they get to tell the person.
