yipee!i just got an email from rachel ashwell and she has re-opened her santa monica store...this might be old news to some of you, but not to me...
as a treat to me, my husband usually takes me to santa monica to walk up/down the lovely streets, have lunch and visit my very favorite store on the planet..."shabby chic". now, i guess we can do that again...but this time, i'm visiting "shabby chic couture"...whatever it is, i just love the feeling when i walk into her haven!
but...there's more news...rachel is coming to country roads for a book signing for her new book...she will be there on saturday, november 14th, from 12 noon till 2:00 p.m...
i will definately be there!!!

Hi Robin,
Thanks for the nice post about Country Roads and Rachel! She was in the Sunday of Street Faire. Of course she didn't know what was going on since its a zoo! Her little assistant invited me to the grand opening. I wish I could have gone. I've known Rachel for years and she is such a great person, I'm happy she got to keep her first store. And, I'm still blown away that she asked "me" if she could do a book signing at Country Roads! It will be a fun day. Take care!!
