the rumors have been flying around and around for a very long time...
the groves flea at the great park is coming to an end after next month...
apparently, the great park/the city of Irvine no longer wants to allow us to have the flea market at the great park due to the developing of homes that are going to take place on the location we set up at...
we all know that the great park is massive in size and there is a lot of locations that we could set up and have our flea...
but, they are not allowing us to do that...
there is a farmer's market that sets up every weekend and if our flea joined them once a month, we could grow and thrive...
the great park/the city of Irvine could charge for parking and make a lot of revenue for the city...
but apparently they don't want to do that???
baffling???
there are a lot of people that make their living off of selling at the flea market!
there are a lot of people that depend on that monthly income!!!
there are a lot of people that own shops and depend on buying from us at the flea market!!!
this seems like another government rip off!!!
it's super sad that a flea market has to come to an end after so many years...
the concept for the great park was ALWAYS designed to provide family fun/concert venues/sport's park, etc...again...money seems to be the center of this conflict...
but,
this could be worked out...they could put us in another locale at the great park in Irvine...
if you feel the same way, please, please, please send your letters, emails and phone calls their way...

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. I have contacted the great park to ask them to reconsider work something out. Is the grove flea market looking at other places, or is it going away completely if something is not worked out? What a tremendous shame to loose this great flea market!!
hi annie...I don't know...but I'm hoping the more people that contact the great park, they might reconsider...I've been told they are looking at Anaheim stadium, the parking lot by wild rivers, etc...hopefully, we will hear next month that its not over...
I know that the owner of orange coast promotions, the people that run the flea, told me that if people contact them, they might reconsider...they have suggested that the great park charge for parking to bring in hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue...the great park is virtually empty and there is no reason why we can't continue on in another location...please share with as many people as possible and hopefully our voices will be heard! xoxo
