only two more days till you can shop at the vintage marketplace...

the groves flea market in irvine says good bye!!!

sadly, this sunday is the last groves flea in Irvine at the great park!!!

 

it's a must see...

hopefully, you will all come out to say farewell...

 

the great park has kicked us out and we're really not sure why???

 

I will continue to see most of you at the vet's flea in long beach {space 948}, but there are a lot of dealers that you won't see...

come on out this sunday...

the weather will be perfect and shop till your hearts content...

the admission is free...

the parking is free...

so long to the groves flea...

the rumors have been flying around and around for a very long time...

 

the groves flea at the great park is coming to an end after next month...

 

apparently, the great park/the city of Irvine no longer wants to allow us to have the flea market at the great park due to the developing of homes that are going to take place on the location we set up at...

 

we all know that the great park is massive in size and there is a lot of locations that we could set up and have our flea...

 

but, they are not allowing us to do that...

 

there is a farmer's market that sets up every weekend and if our flea joined them once a month, we could grow and thrive...

 

the great park/the city of Irvine could charge for parking and make a lot of revenue for the city...

but apparently they don't want to do that???

 

baffling???

 

there are a lot of people that make their living off of selling at the flea market!

there are a lot of people that depend on that monthly income!!!

there are a lot of people that own shops and depend on buying from us at the flea market!!!

this seems like another government rip off!!!

 

it's super sad that a flea market has to come to an end after so many years...

 

the concept for the great park was ALWAYS designed to provide family fun/concert venues/sport's park, etc...again...money seems to be the center of this conflict...

but,

this could be worked out...they could put us in another locale at the great park in Irvine...

 

if you feel the same way, please, please, please send your letters, emails and phone calls their way...

easter at the beach...

we had the best easter ever!

we decided to do something a lil different this year...

we invited friends and family to the beach for easter...

most everyone made it and we had a blast!

the weather was gorgeous!

the family and friends were a joy!

and,

the food was great!!!

it started off with steve and i rising at 6 to get the trailer and the bikes down to doho/capo...

with much anxiety and anticipation, we found a great spot...

dropped the trailer,

set up the tables,

and,

got ready for the group to show up...

we made some lemon scones in the trailer...

went on a long walk...

and then they started showing up...

our family and friends we adhore...

went for a bike ride...

ate and drank....

watched the sunset...

had a bonfire and made yummy smores!

a great time!

we are very blessed to have such special people in our lives...

i hope you all had the easter of your dreams...

april is here...

march was a crazy month for us...

we had three fleas and the vintage marketplace...

a lot of junking,

a lot of packing,

a lot of unpacking,

and,

a lot of selling...

a great month, but we are exhausted...

 

on top of that, we are moving our daughter!!!

so excited for her!!!

 

we were planning on taking off the whole month of april, however, we will be at the groves flea in Irvine!!!

 

we won't be at the long beach flea...

we will be celebrating easter sunday with family and friends...hoping and praying for great weather!

march madness...

it's been a hectic month...

most of February, I was junking and working for this month...

the groves flea was a bummer cause we got rained out...

 

the vintage marketplace was amazing!!!  we were super busy with women that loved the show...

everyone did an amazing job and I found some amazing treasures while selling bunches and bunches...

 

we celebrated my son's 19th birthday that weekend...it's great to see my kids grow up and do "their thing", but at the same time, I miss they being little...cherish every moment you have with your loved ones...

 

then, we had the long beach flea this past sunday...it was super hot, but we did great...the people shopped till about noonish, but it just got too hot...it was 91 when we left at 3ish...

 

THERE IS A LONG BEACH FLEA SPECIAL SHOW ON THE FIFTH SUNDAY OF THIS MONTH...this is ALWAYS a fun show cause there are some great deals!!!  and, there are always dealers there that might not normally be there...

we will definitely have some treasures we will be blowing out...

we are taking the month of april off...

but, we will be searching for treasures to bring you in may at the groves flea and the long beach flea...

rain, rain go away...

the wind is fierce and the rain is falling...

I know we need the rain...

but we really, really, really need this storm to pass through quickly...

so it could clear out by sunday for the groves flea in Irvine...

I have lot's of cute junk to show you...

so, we are praying for clear skys on sunday...

oh yes, and a little clearing on Saturday so we can load!!!
